I know in People’s Republic of China, Youtube, Facebook, and foreign news websites are banned. Google search results are filtered and selectively banned.

Here’s the snag though. It is a DOMESTIC law in the US. So realistically it holds no jurisdiction anywhere else. Which just means all pirate websites will go the way of Piratebay and just be hosted abroad in a country where it IS legal. At the moment throttling is not an option for torrents so the pirate scene is not gonna go because of this. It will just ship to countries that aren’t bending over for corporations.
